At Last! A 12V Hardwired Smoke Detector (Photoelectric)
This unit is ideal for permanent wiring in boats, caravans or motorhomes. Because such vessels/vehicles are not always attended, a 9V battery powered smoke alarm can go flat without anyone noticing. Worse, such alarms can go off and are not heard outside.
This unit avoids that as it only draws 5mA from a 12V source, which is not enough to be a serious current drain. If smoke appears it will close a set of contacts inside the unit which can trip an external mounted alarm siren, via, say an existing burglar alarm system. Both N.O. and N.C. circuit configurations are provided.
Supplied with test and reset buttons, mounting hardware, screws etc.
